Skydance Paramount Will Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – Update

Skydance Paramount plans to initiate significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, cutting about 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August valued at $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are anticipated, as the firm planning to announce complete information via its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.

Prior news had indicated the firm was looking to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.

By December 2024, the company employed nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization has not yet commented on the matter.
