The announcement arrives during a period American President Donald Trump has been urging companies from the United States to give priority to local funding.
The Expanding Position of India in AI Infrastructure
The country has become a key destination for AI data centers. The nation's low data costs and quickly expanding online population have established it as a focal point for AI and cloud growth for major tech firms.
"This center will introduce our cutting-edge technology to enterprises and users in India, speeding up artificial intelligence advancement and driving growth across the country," said Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet.
