Aircraft Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering above a popular coastal coastline unexpectedly started spinning out of control, eventually dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm fronds as spectators watched.
Footage shared on the internet capture the helicopter beginning to twirl near the shoreline then plunging towards the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palm trees and a steps close to the coastal road.
First Aid Update
Emergency responders reported five people were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the road were hurt. Details on their condition were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
