A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted for Inmate Homicide of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder after the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences including the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
